About Ripple
Reading aloud to kids from a young age is vital for building the skills they will need to become strong readers when they enter school. By kindergarten, there is as much as an eight-year vocabulary gap between kids who are read to daily and those who are not. A gap like this is very difficult to close.
Even in well-intentioned families, work schedules, activities and television can get in the way of reading. Ripple gives you a new option for boosting the amount of time a child spends with books.
Ripple has permission from authors and publishers to include the books you’ll see in the Ripple Library. To take part, browse the library and purchase an eBook for a child. You can also read and record the story and tell us the name and parent's email address where we should send the recording. Each audio recording you make is completely private and will only be heard by the recipients you designate.
